Q. I do not live in your area. Can I still use your service?
A. Yes.
Q. What format do you accept?
A. We accept mini-DV, VHS tapes, digital and paper photos, and slides.
(There is an additional charge for converting VHS tapes and paper photos.)
Q. How long will it take to complete my movie?
A. Once all materials have been received, your video can usually be completed in 2-3 weeks.
Q. Will my DVD play in my DVD player or computer?
A. Your movie will play in most DVD players. If your computer was purchased after 2004, you should have no problem playing your new movie.
Q. How do you determine the price?
A. Footprint Studios charges by the amount of media that you provide to us. Up to 2 hours of your video and 50 digital photographs are include in the minimum base price. Video that exceed over 2 hours, Footprint Studios charges an extra fee for every minute provided. Digital photographs that exceed 50, we charge an extra fee for every photograph. Final edited movies that exceed 15 minutes in length are subject to special pricing.
Q. Do you scan paper photographs?
A. Yes. Footprint Studios will scan photographs on a case-by-case basis. An additional fee is charged for each photograph scanned.
Q. Do you edit or transfer film to a DVD?
A. No, but we can send the film to a third party for you and get it back so we can make your video.
